Slowing Down in Cebu
The past three days of being holed up at home has moved at a sea cucumber’s pace. It was agonizing to see my friends’ posts and photos of the beach that were flooding my newsfeed, but after a while, I realized that I needed this. It’s been so long since I’ve been doing nothing it all, and just spent time with my family at our house in Mactan.

A nightcap at Dolce last Saturday made me remember what it was like to slow down, let conversations take their natural course, and really connect with the people I loved. Cebu was quieter than usual too, much like how I’ve been feeling inside. I seemed to have stumbled upon a breadth of inner space, making way for a lot of new things to come.
