Road Trip with the Family

Anyone who’s ever met my family would immediately understand where my love affair with travel came from. Some of my earliest memories took place in transit—in cars, ships, and planes. My parents instilled a thirst for adventure in my brother and me before we learned how to properly talk. My cousins would tell you the same thing about their childhood.
Alo, Zach and Nikki (and Chuckee at the back)!

I’ve been living on my own for three years now, so I’ve only been able to see my relatives on special occasions. This trip to Surigao was unplanned, and materialized almost serendipitously, which made it all the more cherished.

A pristine waterfall, a quiet creek, and a clear blue swimming hole…these were some of the road side discoveries that we got to see. Being in the van with my family, and not knowing what else was in store for us felt like I was home.
Brave the waves,

Stoked to hear from you on Facebook and Twitter. See you there!
